On Course for Team Building: Cobalt Energy's Golf Day

In early October, colleagues from across Cobalt Energy came together for another exciting team-building event, this time taking to the golf course at Ratho Park Golf Club in Scotland and Stockport Golf Club.

In Scotland, two colleagues made the most of the sunshine as they enjoyed a round of golf at Ratho Park. Meanwhile, the team at Stockport Golf Club kicked off the day with breakfast baps and refreshments before heading onto the course. While our experienced golfers went straight to hole one, new beginners were given an introduction to the basics of golf, learning how to swing, strike the ball and improve their technique.

Working in pairs, colleagues honed their new skills, with some showing impressive talent from the start, making shots just like professionals.

This group then moved on to the chipping area, where focus shifted towards developing control and accuracy through smaller movements. Splitting into three teams, colleagues took part in a friendly chipping challenge, with one particularly impressive shot resulting in a hole-in-one!

Eventually, both groups reunited on the course. Our new beginners were particularly impressed with the powerful swings and distances achieved by the experienced golfers but were more than happy to demonstrate their newfound skills too.

After an enjoyable day in the sunshine, everyone came together for refreshments and a well-deserved lunch in the clubhouse, providing a great opportunity to catch up and reflect on the day's activities.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this day such a success! It was a fantastic opportunity to connect colleagues from both site and office teams beyond the workplace, enjoying some friendly competition and trying something new.
