Mechanical Technician

‍Role& Responsibilities:

• Fault finding and     maintaining mechanical assets including pumps, gearboxes, valves, etc
• Carry out     inspections and condition-based monitoring
• Working in line     with maintenance techniques and best practices
• To ensure     compliance with the pressure regulations and lifting gear inspection     requirements
• Assisting in plant     developments and projects
• Supervising and     setting to work on-site contractors
• Maintaining     accurate maintenance records on the site CMMS
• Assist in outage     planning, scheduling, and coordination
• To ensure the     availability of plant spares

·       Carry out preventative maintenance in line with scheduled PPM’s

·       Provide reactive maintenance duties on the plant in a timely manner to meet the needs of the Operation’s requirements

Key Accountabilities:

·       Be familiar with and observe the Health and Safety at Work Act

·       Comply with GOL site safety rules

·       Be available to meet call-out duties as part of a rota system

·       Follow all SOP and work instructions

·       Observe be familiar with and comply with all company policies

·       Ensure all CBM duties are conducted

·       Ensure all planned preventative maintenance requirements are met

·       Fuel delivery conveyors

·       Gasification systems

·       Steam and water and drainage systems

·       Turbine and generator

·       Abatement delivery

·       Water treatment plant

·       Ash conveyors
